WEST SACRAMENTO — November 2, 2026. West Sacramento’s city-sponsored Via program offers on-demand transportation across the city for a published standard fare of $3.50, with discounted travel for eligible seniors and people with disabilities.
One city, two different fare structures
The city lists a $3.50 fare for trips starting and ending within West Sacramento and $1.75 for approved discount riders. Trips crossing to designated Downtown Sacramento zones have a $4.50 base plus $1 per mile, up to a $12.50 maximum.
No smartphone is required
Via has a dedicated West Sacramento app, but people can also set up an account and request rides by calling 916-318-5101. The city says the service is offered Monday–Friday 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Accessible rides and permits
Riders who need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle should flag that requirement when booking. Discount fare verification is handled by city staff; a person should not assume a lower rate will apply before eligibility is approved.
